P.E.A.C.E Open Mic Night

The OU organization P.E.A.C.E hosted an “open mic” night Sunday in the Couch dormitory.

“Organizations like these are important to the OU community, because it serves as an artsy outlet,” said Lauren Whiteman, journalism junior, “ after a long week of studying and classes, it’s nice to attend events like these as a stress reliever.”

P.E.A.C.E, which stands for Poets. Entertainers. Artist. Creative Expressions, is in its second year of existence. This organization was founded by a group of poets who noticed the lack of outlets for student expressions.

P.E.A.C.E plans to host this event monthly, and hopes to gain campus wide exposure. For more information and updates about events follow them on twitter “@OUPeace,” or join their facebook group “Peace”.
